Music Teachers

We specialize in helping local musicians and teachers notate music and make simplified arrangements for their students. We can also make excercise pages, flash cards, worksheets, and other custom teaching materials.

Many beginning students want to play songs that are beyond their abilities and often printed music is not available at their level. This is especially true for a lot of popular music. If you have a child that loves a particular song, but you can't find music for it at his or her level, let us know and we will make a simplified arrangement.

We also notate student compositions and arrangements. If you or your student has written a song and would like to have printed music for it, we can transcribe it.

Piano students

Piano students can play their songs directly into the computer using a digital keyboard. Music can be notated directly but usually requires some editing depending on the accuracy of the pianist's playing. If you prefer, we can also take hand written music and notate it for you.

In addition, we can transcribe music from CD's and other recordings. If you would like to play a song but can't find the music, let us notate it for you.

Vocal and instrumental students

Singers often run into the problem of songs being outside of their vocal range. We can help by transposing music into whatever key complements your voice. Just let us know if you want it transposed up or down and by how many half-steps.

Instrumentalists such as saxophone, clarinet, and trumpet players often need music transposed into their key. There is no extra charge to transpose your music.

Rates

Rates are based on the complexity of the music and the difficulty of the transcription. Simple transcriptions generally run about $5 per page, but please contact us for an estimate. 50% down payment is required for us to begin the work with the remainer due when you receive your music.

Copyright Issues

As long as you use the sheet music we prepare for you personally, there is no copyright infringement. If, however, you intend to reprint the newly transposed piece and sell it, then you are required to contact the original publisher and gain permission to do so.
